The Threat of Quiet Islam or The Stupidity of Loud and Abnoxious Hypocrites

There is this woman, Barbara Stock, who has quite a long list of complaints about Muslims and Islam. I stumbled across some of her writing last week. She has a site and I don't mind linking to it, REPUBLICAN AND PROUD.

well, take a good look at her site. Notice the incessant ramblings wavering between victimhood and genocidal aspirations. Four words to sum up my opinion of her and her site...waaa waaa waaaa waaaa.

Whining. thats it. Thats all. Thank God that there is no clint black music emanating from there.

Since when are non muslims more a victim of terrorism than non muslims. The last I checked, there were many muslims killed on 911, not to mention the thousands killed as "collateral damage" from the US led wars since 911.

Barbara thinks alot about herself. She is a Registered Nurse. She lives in Michigan. Now, I like Nurses. But I don't think a person with the attitude that Islam needs to be obliterated from the face of the earth should be practicing Nursing, especially in a place that serves many muslims. Its rather disturbing. She wrote to me and said that she works with a Muslim guy and she likes him. I asked her to please show him some of her writings and then see whats what. I doubt that she will. I think she is more comfortable being an anonymous "dickens" writing behind the safety of her PC and posting among the delusional at the far right wing whack job sites.

Here is a woman who claims to have had the belief that Muslims were good people and that the majority of Muslims do not support the actions of 911. But then she began arguing with Ali Sina, another whack job. But Mr. Sina convinced her about the Islamics..(Islamics---- her word for Muslims) SHe said she fought very hard to hold on to her beliefs about peaceful Islam, alas Ali Sina was just too dang smooth and convincing...Now, Mr. Sina, who has disguised his true identity for fear of his life... is a coward. A former Iranian, who seems to spend more time talking about Islam than breathing. It always struck me odd, people who claim to believe in one thing and then spend all their time talking about another thing. Nevertheless, Mr. Sina, convinced poor Barbara about the lethality of Islam. She has been writing up a storm of racist and bigoted columns ever since.

A dangerous criminal mind is on the loose somewhere in the homestead.

WHEN GOOD RATS GO BAD

I woke up this morning and I think that fluffy bin rattie has struck the homestead. Surveillance cameras caught one suspicious looking acharacter ripping up the grass.
the food supply was attacked and little poopies litter the floor. the escape ladder has been knocked off the roof and the suspects have barricaded themselves in the barn.

Witnesses who chooose not to be identified say that the trouble began last night. just after lights out.

there must be some socio-economic reasons that they would go this far.

greetings

Well, it seems that Mr. Michael Graham got himself fired. He is blaming it on CAIR. Now THATS funny. How is it possible that a pro-terrorism Islamic Fundamentalist group like CAIR could get an innocent, taken out of context, flag waving patriot such as Graham fired???

The fact of the matter is, it was not CAIR that got Graham fired, it was Graham that got Graham fired. Graham was racist (what is the word for -ist when it comes to a religion??) and Graham pushed his garbage far beyond the pale of freedom of speech. He was hate mongering and even supported the idea of MORE backlash for Muslim Americans.
He refused to apologize to Muslims in the USA and instead or any kind of repentance he continued on and on spreading his twisted, Pipe-ish lies and infalmmatory statements about Muslims and Islam.

So, now he sits blaming CAIR.

The funny thing is that most Muslims did not want to see him out of a job, but they did want him to re-examine his ideas in light of some truths and facts that he obviously has been neglected of knowing. Muslims do not take pleasure in someone losing their livlihood on account of ignorance. thats not us. it just isn't. Muslims would prefer to have someone educated and have the chance to be witness of facts.

The fact is that while he was on suspension, he ran over to the pro-zionist and anti-muslim sites and wrote alot and I mean ALOT of hateful and racist stuff.

Go figure.

I think either he

a. thought he was so indispensible to that radio station that he could do and say whatever he wanted without repercussion.

b. really believes that all muslims are terrorists to the point he is a fanatic..

c. thought that those sites he ran to would save his racist buttocks.

whatever he thought, he thought wrong.

People like Graham talking all that crap are the twin brother of the Men on the pulpits calling for others to strap on bomb vests. they are like 2 peas in a pod, together yet separate.

I just wish that people like Graham would lay off the propaganda and just try to educate themselves in an objective way.

maybe then they would not be fired....

The problem is not there is too much Islam but too little

LONDON: Today Muslims are being challenged to face up to the fact that crimes are committed in the name of their religion. Like many, I am finding it hard to accept.

One of the crucial factors about the London bombings, I think, goes right back to school: where did those who carried out the attacks get their teachings from? What curriculum were they following – or not following – when they decided it was OK to blow up themselves and people they didn’t even know? What background have the bombers come from and who taught them?

As a new Muslim – I wasn’t born a Muslim and didn’t have the customary upbringing – receiving an English translation of the Qur’an as a gift in 1976 was a wonderful chance to learn from scratch what the teachings of this misunderstood religion really proclaimed. You may or may not know that the word Islam is rooted in the word ‘peace’. Yes, some have claimed that there are verses in the Qur’an which endorse violence and fanaticism. But all that proves is that, when you quote out of context to further your own particular brand of extremism, you can choose any book on the shelf. Islam is not alone.

The message I picked up from the Qur’an was quite different. I found the light of knowledge and godliness shining from the verses and stories, linking mankind together as one family, regardless of colour, status or nationality. It told me of the wondrous universal teachings of peace and unity advocated by the greatest of educators, people such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus and others. Yet the followers of these messengers, in defiance of their noble teachings, have indulged in countless wars.

You can’t blame the teachers. You have to blame the distortions and ignorance of their followers. Again, Islam is not unique in this. At the end of every Friday sermon around the world, in every mosque, the imam usually recites the following words from the Qur’an: “Verily, God commands justice and kindness and giving to relatives and He forbids indecency, objectionable actions and extremism. God instructs you that you may be reminded.”

Yet no matter what the teachings convey, some listeners will be selective, and may choose not to be reminded.

It’s uncomfortable but easy to imagine youths today – many of whom are fugitives from the mosques in the first place – growing up against the backdrop of the injustices lambasting the Muslim world, being impressed by the fiery rhetoric of the sharp-tongued dogmatists. Youngsters are naturally attracted to short-cut solutions. This is where many of the problems start.

Education is crucial. Here in Britain, the education system has been slow, at best, in allowing Islamic teachings to be taught in their full breadth. There is a lack of commitment to the rigours of traditional learning. In the West, where Islam is denigrated and prejudice abounds, where headlines designed to shock and mesmerise dominate people’s minds, the real teachings of the faith are left for people to fall upon by chance. In terms of spiritual and moral nourishment, it has been left to largely irregular and inadequate models of religious education to deliver the goods.

An hour-long mosque sermon, once a week – which most Muslims attend – or a lecture by a visiting scholar who barely speaks English and has little understanding of British and European life, are never likely to deliver the balanced curriculum necessary to build the conscientious believer, one who not only knows his duty to God but also to the society and world he lives in.

The July 7 bombers attended state schools in Britain, not faith-based schools. Some of them, we are told, briefly visited madrassa schools in Pakistan. This may or may not be relevant, but it suggests that they felt they had had insufficient Islamic education in Britain. By going abroad, they laid themselves open to influences outside normal scholastic parameters.

If we fail to provide authentic and traditional spiritual values within everyday schooling, we allow rogue ideologists to distort the essence of religious concepts. We also exclude invaluable wisdom and repress the strong spirit of devotion that many believers naturally feel.

The teachings of Islam have nothing to do with the recent barbarities. The problem, to oversimplify, is not too much Islam but too little. In the same way, Christianity didn’t produce Hitler; but the absence of true Christian teachings and a lack of strong spiritual role models must have contributed.

Faith-based education produces major benefits. At, Islamia Primary, the first Muslim school to be granted aided status by the British government, by conforming to and delivering the national curriculum, we are able to balance society’s needs with the aspirations of Muslim parents. The results are not perfect, but they are encouraging.
Children, and particularly those disposed to disaffection, need spiritual support and firm moral borders when confronted by the pressures of modern life. We aim to provide these in a context of learning. Historically, Islamic civilisation nurtured the development of science and spurred the arrival of the European Renaissance. “Seek knowledge, even if it is in China”, is a much quoted Islamic proverb attributed to Prophet Muhammad. An uneducated Muslim is a dangerous entity to himself as well as to others. Ignorance contradicts the very essence of true Islam, which is based on the love and search for knowledge. So without knowledge, please don’t blame Islam. – The Independent

Salaam ALeikum There has been a lot of talk recently about reform. Islamic reform, specifically. One article read thus:

"For Muslims to reform would entail abandoning their sacred book and traditions. The leaders throughout the Islamic world, who are educated in the Quran and the hadith, simply cannot make this leap. The mental shock would be too severe"

And another...
"why is there no air time for the many young educated Arabs who would very much like to see contemporary Islam reformed? Are there no humanistically minded young Islamic thinkers who could put the lie to the assertion that we in the West are faced with a phalanx of extremists only? That there are no Solzenhitsyns to rebut the polically correct appeasers?"

First of all, Islam is not in need of reform. Never has been and never will. What Islam needs is for people who don’t have a stinking clue about Islam to put away their wanna-be-scholar pens and zip up their lips.

It is true that Muslims need to be educated about their religion. But that is true of any religion. I think one problem is that many Christians are trying to look at Islam from a Christian point of view. In other words, in the past when society changes, it came in direct conflict with Christian principles. Instead of Christians holding their ground and following the word of God, they opted out for the changing views of society. They have manipulated God’s Law, picking and choosing what they will hold as tenets and essentially weakened it to the point where it is no longer recognizable. Christianity has never been a static religion. It has been tweaked and updated to the point where it really is no longer Christianity. No one rests on Sundays. Abortions are okay. War is rampant. Children do not honor their parents. Bibles gather dust on some shelf in one of wall of the guest room. Grace is for sissies and the teachings of Christ are just warm fuzzies found on bumper stickers and novelty T-shirts. Now the Christians want that for us.
Well, I guess they always have...I wasn't around for the Crusades but I think that was about spreading Christianity far and wide.
Anyways...'

I am really getting sick of people saying, “why don’t you all Moderate Muslims speak out against those terrorists?” Excuse me, but I am a Muslim but it is not my responsibility to babysit 1.3 billion other Muslims in the world. I do what I can but frankly I think it’s a stupid question. It just shows me that people are paying less attention to logic and more to pundits and opinionated “news” broadcasters.

I mean is it just me? Or is there something fishy about that request. SPEAK OUT!!! they say.
Hmm...
I have always spoken out about things that I feel are injust or play assinine. Since 911 I have seen hundreds of Muslims (personally) and thousands (via net and tv and print) speak out against terror. I have seen fatwas that have been issued against killing people for the sake of politics.
Someone said yesterday that CAIR released a Fatwa against terrorism YESTERDAY, just after that dipshit Michael Graham was suspended for calling Islam a terrorist organization (among other things).

The problem with that brilliant statement is that CAIR has been speaking out against violence as long as I can remember. So, to give credit to this wingnut Graham for CAIR's issuance yesterday is retarded.

So, the civilized world is calling out to MO-DERATE Muslims. I still wonder what a Moderate Muslim is. I googled it and what I see is alot of bigoted crap. Okay here is a lesson.

1. Because Islam is a system of life, i.e., affecting social, legal and spiritual ideals, then to be a moderate Muslim would mean to me that one would take the laws of God and soften them.
2. This does not work in Islam with good results. The more a muslim sheds off his or her islamic belief and teaching the more apt they are to commit offenses against themselves, society and God.
3. The Muslim who is extreme in his or her belief, meaning follows Islam as best they can to the T, it is they who are going to be beneficial to themselves, society and God.

Moderate Islam is not Islam. Moderate Islam is half-baked. Moderate Islam is watered down. Have some wine with your brunch Ahmed....Pope Bush said it was okay...oh and don't skimp on the virgineeya ham....Moderate Islam is the REASON for these people who strap on bombs and walk on to a train.

I am not saying that easing restrictions on Muslims will lead them to become TERRORISTS...well, possibly. Allah's (swt) law is the way it is to make society livable. To ensure that people respect each other and themselves. If a person strays a little from their responsibilities then it is possible that a slippery slope manifests itself.

Moderate Islam is only going to make the world uglier. Because if a person elects to moderate something so perfect they are just asking for trouble.
Anways,
Number 1…the day I become a moderate Muslim, someone please slap me. Hard. I want to be as much of a Muslim as I can be. Because the more Extreme Muslim I am the more safe the world will be.
Number 2…Where shall you like to speak out to? Do you think we Muslims are all connected by some Islamic friends and family network on out cell phones? Who do we speak out to?
Number 3…I don’t like your freaking definition of Terrorist to begin with. In your eyes a terrorist is a Muslim who has committed an act of violence. Sure blowing up stuff is terrorism. But I don’t hear anyone speaking out against Ariel Sharon blowing up stuff. I don’t hear anyone calling Israeli Settlers who stab and shoot and beat to death young Palestinians as terrorists. I don’t hear anyone calling the columbine kids at terrorists. I don’t hear anyone calling serial killers terrorists.

However, if a Muslim runs over a squirrel because he was speeding, he suddenly becomes a terrorist. And then out come the Bill Oreillys. “Mr. Hooper, can you prove to us that there is no place in the Quran that condemns killing squirrels?” “Hmmm, why no I cannot”. “There you have it. The Quran hates squirrels…” Roll credits.

You see, I will say it again. Islam is not in need of Reformation. Islam has been around 1400 years. Ignorant people come and go, from all religions. Christians, keep your reformation and go back and read your Bible. That’s my advice.

For the first writer above, I can only say, ya you’re right. Muslims are not going to make that leap. (Inshallah they will not) What a really idiotic thing to say. BEHOLD YOU MUSLIMS. LEAVE YOUR HOLY BOOK AND HADITH BEHIND. COME! LETS ALL REFORM. That might work for some of the more opportunistic leaders and some oppressed and illiterate Muslims who do not know any better. But, If you think that will help your cause, think again my friend. Your best bet is to hope and pray that Muslims become more and more Islamic.

And as for the 2nd writer above, I can only shake my head. I am not even sure what he or she is saying.

True reform must lie in the actions coming from the imperialistic minds of world. Those minds that put self-interest over the interest of humanity are a formidable foe of this world. Those people who see the green dollar and the black oil as God. These people are the ones to worry about.

As for us Muslims, we need to stand or ground and continue to follow the law of Allah (swt).
